Costs to Sell
After you accept an offer to purchase your home, you will receive a detailed list of the closing costs (called a Good Faith Estimate or GFE) involved in the sale of your home. We’ve listed the approximate breakdown and amount of those costs; additional costs may apply to your home sale. - Real Estate Commission (paid to your listing agent and the buyer’s agent; this figure will vary depending on the sale price of the home.
- Property Taxes (prorated to date of closing)
- Abstract $400-$600
- Title Insurance based on sale price (if you are in a supplemental abstract neighborhood)
- Recording Fees $30
- Documentary Stamps $1.50 per $1,000 of sale price
- Mortgage Inspection Certificate (survey) $275
This estimate does not include any lender required repairs, repairs negotiated between the buyer and seller and loan points or other closing costs negotiated between buyer and seller.
